SPRING UPDATE 2023: Sellers Edition
Spring has arrived! As a Seller, what do I need to do to get ready for a busy season?

Spring is here!
The weather is warming up and so is the market. More listings typically come on the market once the snow melts, and so, as a seller, let's get prepared to make your move.
And even if you're not planning to list your home this spring, these are good tips for every homeowner to take note of.
Declutter: New year, new you, right? No matter when you list your home, decluttering is a must. Even if it means getting a temporary storage unit. Minimalist decorations and furniture help your home feel spacious and airy. Personal items such as pictures, toiletries, and any valuables should be hidden away. A buyer wants to imagine their belongings in the home. Check over your property, home and outbuildings, and do a good cleanup of anything that is unnecessary or undesirable.
Cleaning: Doing a deep spring clean on your home before listing will help boost your home's appeal to buyers. Windows, cabinets, floors, walls, lights, closets, the list seems endless. But a fresh smelling home with clean counters and clear windows shows that the home has been well cared for.
Repairs & Replacements: After the winter, many things have probably gone overlooked under all the snow. Clean out the gutters, replace the light bulbs inside and out, trim those low hanging branches, change the batteries in your smoke detectors. If your road or driveway has potholes, see about getting those fixed. Put in some plants by the walk way, and make your home's entrance inviting.
Remember, a clean and fresh home is more attractive to buyers. You may get more for your home by doing a few simple repairs and cleaning up than just leaving it for the new owner to take care of.
