Step 6 - Managing Interest & showings
We’re here to make the showing process as smooth and convenient as possible for you.
To ensure your home gets the attention it deserves, we encourage you to keep your schedule flexible for showings during the first few weeks, giving potential buyers ample opportunities to view your property.
It’s also a good idea to make arrangements for children and pets during these times to create a calm and distraction-free environment for buyers.
As your realtor, we will arrange, schedule, and coordinate all showings, inspections, and walkthroughs on your behalf. We also manage all virtual showings of the property, as so many buyers use these to prescreen properties before they schedule live walkthroughs.
Part of our listing service here at CENTURY 21® is that we prequalify buyers to make sure they have the ability to purchase your home. This means that before we invest your time into a buyer, we make sure they have the resources and are serious buyers.
Showing Checklist:
If you have 15 minutes:
- Make the beds and fluff pillows
- Throw away any garbage
- Empty out garbage cans and take out the trash
- Clean the countertops and put away dishes
- Declutter the home, remove any toys, personal products and valuables
- Turn on all indoor and outdoor lights
If you have more than an hour:
- Complete the above list (15 minute list)
- Vaccum, sweep and mop the floors
- Wipe all major appliances, glass and mirrors
- Fold or hang up visible clothing nicely
- Dust any visible or reachable areas
- Clean windows
- Stage with rugs, throw pillows, and decor
