LOCAL HOTSPOT - Snow Creek Falls
Got a free afternoon? Let’s get an easy hike in, and it's only a few minutes from Bonners Ferry!
Snow Creek Falls is only a mile and a half round trip with 200 ft elevation gain and two of the prettiest waterfalls in the county. The trailhead is just a few miles south of the Kootenai Wildlife Refuge and it's an easy drive into the mountains.
The trail splits halfway down and you can explore both the lower and upper falls.
The best times to visit this trail are April through October. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
If you have visitors in town, it’s one of the best little North Idaho hikes to show off to them.
