Spend a day at one of the best ski resorts in the PNW!

Cold and snow are no excuse to stay cooped up inside! Just 45 minutes from Bonners Ferry lies Schweitzer Mountain Resort, one of the Pacific Northwest's top ski destinations. Nestled above Sandpoint, this winter paradise offers endless opportunities for outdoor adventure and breathtaking views. Schweitzer is also now part of the Ikon Pass family with over 50 locations worldwide to explore.

Schweitzer boasts 2,900 acres of skiable terrain with 92 named trails, making it a paradise for snow enthusiasts of all levels. From wide, beginner-friendly slopes to adrenaline-pumping expert runs, there’s something for everyone. Ten lifts ensure you can spend less time waiting and more time carving your way through the powder. Plus, Schweitzer’s unique bowl terrain provides an added thrill for adventurous riders.

The views at Schweitzer are some of the best in North Idaho. As you ascend to 6,400 feet, you’ll enjoy vistas of Lake Pend Oreille, the town of Sandpoint, and the surrounding Selkirk mountains. Whether you're skiing, snowboarding, or just taking in the scenery, the panorama alone is worth the trip.

Not a skier or snowboarder? No problem! Schweitzer offers a variety of winter activities for everyone. Explore the serene beauty of the Nordic trails, perfect for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. For a unique experience, take a snowcat ride to the Sky House, where you can enjoy a warm meal with an unforgettable view. Families will love the snow tubing hill, offering hours of laughter and fun.

After a day of adventure, the village at Schweitzer is the perfect place to unwind. Cozy up by the fire with a hot cocoa, or savor a craft beer at one of the many dining options. The lively après-ski scene often features live music and events, adding a festive touch to your mountain escape. Need a day to recharge? Head to Cambium Spa for a treatment that keeps you fresh for another day on the slopes.

Schweitzer Mountain Resort is truly a gem of the Inland Northwest, offering a mix of adventure, relaxation, and natural beauty. Whether you're chasing fresh powder, looking for a fun family outing, or simply in need of a winter retreat, Schweitzer has something for everyone.

So bundle up, hit the road, and embrace the season! The mountains are calling.
